15 days until Litfest...

...although, strictly speaking, that isn't  true. You'll have to wait the full 15 days for the Mystery Launch Event, but if you can't wait that long there are FESTIVAL TASTERS!

Forget about the Streets of London: on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th, the Streets of Lancaster are the ones to watch.

Members of Behind the Cover will be performing their own potted versions of the wonderful Pirates and The Witch Child by Celia Rees. Watch them, laugh, be inspired (and then follow up by joining Celia Rees on Wednesday 17th as she discusses the Gothic face of young adult fiction along with Chris Priestley and Cliff McNish).

                      (Behind the Cover, Saturday 13th and Sunday 15th, from 10am - 5pm)

And, what's that? You'd like your lunchtime to feature hidden places, a secret trail and tantalising words? Look no further! With the best of emerging Northern voices to be found in unexpected corners of the city, lunchtimes may never be this good again.

From Casa Rastelli to Arteria, via the Marketgate Shopping Centre and Pao Pao cafe, you will be on the trail of Wordlife and Cadaverine Magazine, #Flashtag and Bad Language. Tantalising!

(Litflash Lunchtime, Saturday 13th October, from 12pm - 2pm, meet at noon at Casa Rastelli)

Don't forget: all details for Lancaster Litfest 2012 are at www.litfest.org

And come back here tomorrow for a chat about stories, dream line-ups and reading in strange places with the lovely Anneliese Mackintosh.
