That Litfest time of year

October. Drifts of crispy fallen leaves. Early morning spider's webs hung with dew. Dark evenings and harvest moons. And what is it that's happening before the clocks go back and Halloween tips us over into full scale Christmas build up? Other than a late burst of sunny weather, of course...

It's time to count down to Litfest, that's what it is. Kicking off on October 17th, there's going to be five days of fantastic events, with readings and walks and all day shindigs. Come and listen to Livi Michael, John Hegley and Deborah Levy. If Gothic sounds good, then come and hear about it from some of the best writers of young adult fiction. If you don't have much time, slip out for a lunchtime reading. If you like hands-on, get to a workshop or a writing surgery. So much to do, so little time!

For details about all this and more, go to http://www.litfest.org/, where you can download the brochure and plan your week's events.

I will be doing my own countdown right here, with interviews, info and items of interest. Plus, I'll be letting you know where things are, how long the train takes, where to park and all sorts of useful things. And then, during the festival itself, I'll be posting reviews and linking to other people who will be posting reviews.

So you don't miss anything, follow me on Twitter (@sarahontheboat) or follow Litfest (@Litfest).

Because it's going to be great.
